From prize-winning creative non-fiction to celebrity tell-alls and confessional misery-lit, memoirs have generated critical exaltation, controversy and some serious sales. Students will receive complex and thorough assessment of their work, advice for improvement and editing notes, and a detailed plan for finishing their projects and future writing. UEA Guardian Masterclasses The UEA Guardian Masterclasses craetive a series of accredited writing courses in London, designed for committed writers who would like to create a more formal space in their lives for writing. Students will have already discussed the next stage of their writing in their tutorials and they will be encouraged to share this with the group and to set goals.

In the second half of the session we will continue this discussion but in relation to questions raised by our own work in biography. By working together they will provide a powerful focus and opportunity for people to discover what they can achieve at different stages of their writing lives.
